Problem saving template

This is my 3rd time trying to get this module to work...
I'm using the new 2.4 an the latest version. WAMP stack.
First off. The tutorials always talk about "Your theme/templates/layout/" but I found out the hard way that the module is looking in "mysite/templates/layout".
So I put em there and the module finally found the template in the backend dropdown. BUT when I select the template and hit save it never saves the selected template and the dropdown reverts to "none". If I hit save & publish it just hangs until I have to hit refresh.
Any ideas?

which version of pe are you using?
1.2 or 2-pre?
for Silverstripe 2.4 make sure you are using the 2.x release or the current trunk

Ahh ok I see... On Silverstripe.org on the module page it says
Version: [v2.0.0 pre]
Date: 2010-05-12
Compatible with: SilverStripe 2.4
Download: page-elements-trunk-r133.tar.gz
But when you click on the file you get v1.2 I didn't even check... The right version is at the bottom

Hey I got it working with the page-elements-trunk-r133.tar.gz..
